This is a crazy time!  Wow, I can't believe how much has happened since our last workshop.  Some people are cool with the crazy, but most of my friends are, depressingly, NOT OK with the state of the world.  Honestly, I don't know if there's ever been a more critical time for me to keep a movement practice going-- well, moving.  Hooping is keeping me, perhaps irrationally, optimistic for the roads ahead.   Yet, the idea of collecting with kindred badasses and being in a space of acceptance and renewal is calling me Home, right now.

This Tour is all about using the hoop to develop "Peaceful Warriors."  Resilient peace-bringers.  I have been hooping for 15 years and teaching for over 11, and the greatest gift the hoop has given me so far is probably its ability to change my mood or redirect my energies.  I think sometimes we forget that the hoop practice can be a peacemaker WITHIN us almost every time we pick it up.  So, if we're at peace, then at least one part of the greater world is, also.

The first weekend is the "Peace Dojo."  In this weekend, I will weave (Maidan) story into technique over three days.  The first night we will focus on the core skills that are fundamental to the HoopPath/Maidan "dojo."  (Imagine the HP was a dojo, or school of movement.)

On the second day, we will, with story once again, move into the foundational "warrior" techniques of the HP dojo.  Now, please keep in mind that we're talking peaceful warriors.  These techniques aren't violent, but rather athletic and strong in expression.

On the third and final day, we will explore, with story, HoopPath techniques that are a little more nuanced and graceful.  Techniques that use the arms and hands in new ways that ultimately develop coordination and hand speed.

There is no pre-requisite skill required to take these workshops.  If you have NEVER, EVER hooped, you should go to some classes first.  This is a open to all levels, but it will be a pretty skilled room.
